Scrum Master Retrospective Retrospective
What is this activity?
A focused retrospective that helps the team share expectations and feedback about the Scrum Master’s role—what they need from the SM and from themselves in key Scrum events. Example questions: “In Sprint Planning, what do we expect our Scrum Master to do (and what should the team do)?” “During Daily Scrum: what helped, what could be improved?”

How to conduct this activity
Set up columns: Show the main Scrum events (columns below). Silent writing: Team members add sticky notes under each event: Blue sticky: “I expect from the SM…” Yellow sticky: “I expect from the team…” Group & clarify: Cluster similar notes and clarify meanings. Vote & discuss: Use dot voting to pick top 1–2 items per event. Discuss and generate 1–2 actionable improvements. Review previous actions: At the top, briefly track progress on last retro’s actions. Wrap-up rating: Rate the session briefly on openness and value.
