Dare, Care & Share Retrospective
What is this activity?
This template is a fun and easy way for teams to talk about their ideas, worries, and thoughts. It gives everyone a safe space to be open and honest. By splitting topics into three categories, the team can better understand what needs courage to say, what needs more attention, and what is worth sharing with others. For example: - A team member might “dare” to suggest a new way of working. - Someone else might “care” about missing code reviews. - Another person might “share” useful feedback or news. It helps teams collect different types of input in a clear, structured way.

Dare, Care & Share Template
🚀 Dare
Bold ideas, wishes, or suggestions. These are things that might need courage to bring up but could make a big difference.
💙 Care
Concerns, troubles, or things that are missing. These are areas where the team feels something needs attention or improvement.
📢 Share
General thoughts, feedback, or information worth telling the group. This could be news, lessons learned, or positive highlights.
How to conduct this activity
Before starting, the facilitator should explain the three categories: Dare, Care, and Share. Ask everyone to create cards on the EasyRetro board for each category. You can suggest that each person add at least one card per column. Give the team 5–10 minutes for this step. When the time is up, go around the group and let each participant read their cards. As they read, ask them to place the card in the correct column. This method works both online and in-person. On EasyRetro, it’s very simple since everyone can add their cards directly to the shared board. This makes the conversation more open and gives visibility to all voices.
